Digital Impressions

Advanced intraoral scanning technology that captures precise digital images of your teeth without messy traditional impressions, providing greater comfort and faster results.

Digital Impressions

A More Comfortable Way to Capture Your Smile

At West Park Dental, we use state-of-the-art intraoral optical scanning devices to create digital impressions of your teeth. This modern technology eliminates the need for messy conventional dental impressions that many patients find uncomfortable.

Our digital scanner captures an accurate, computer-generated representation of your teeth and surrounding tissues in minutes. The process is quick, comfortable, and far more pleasant than traditional impression materials.

How Digital Impressions Work

Instead of filling trays with impression material and placing them in your mouth, we use a small handheld scanner that takes thousands of images of your teeth. These images are instantly compiled into a precise 3D model that we can view on a screen right away.

The digital file is transmitted electronically to our dental laboratory, significantly reducing turnaround time for crowns, bridges, veneers, and other restorations. There's no need to create stone models or mail physical impressions, which means you get your final restoration faster.

Benefits for Same-Day Restorations

Digital impressions are integral to systems that produce same-day, in-office ceramic restorations. This means that in many cases, you can receive a custom crown or other restoration in a single visit, without the need for temporary restorations or multiple appointments.

More Accurate, More Efficient

Digital technology provides exceptional accuracy, which translates to better-fitting restorations and fewer adjustments. We can also store your digital impressions in your patient file for future reference, making any additional dental work even more efficient.
